Unforeseen 24 Posted July 17, 2014 Hi, my monitor is set for 1440x900 resolution and untill a couple of days ago that is what i would play with on DAYZ SA. After a server reset dayz crashed and i had to restart the game. From this point on i was having an issue where the screen was shifted to the right by a noticable margin. On the left was just empty black space. The only way that i could find to fix this was to change the resolution, however on the resolution that fixed the game screen the entire game looks HORRIBLE. It's very hard to see, all of the game sprites are very pixelated or barely viewable at all. The game is practically unplayable. How can i fix this? Preferrably i'd like to play on 1440x900 again as i had always done before.
Unforeseen 24 Posted July 17, 2014 I've temporarily fixed this problem by using my monitor menu to shift the projection to the left allowing me to barely see everything i need to see on the right.
Max Planck 7174 Posted July 17, 2014 You need to set the aspect ratio correctly, then close, then set your resolution.
Unforeseen 24 Posted July 17, 2014 That didn't work, although it never happened before. Now of all a sudden my monitor is incorrectly auto correcting the resolution when i load dayz and it is ignoring the resolution set in game. I have to go into monitor settings and return it to default to get everything working normally.
Bornan 0 Posted October 5, 2014 do a search on your computer for the dayz.cfg file, change the value for windowed mode to 1 and relaunch the game, from there you can get into the configure and video settings change resolution to desired scale and then go into the user interface settings and turn windowed mode back off. Restart the game and it should work properly.
