Dumb Question

So I just watched this YouTube video that FrankieonPC put out on the 11th and it was Dayz, but he was driving around in cars and trucks and building forts and crazy shit.  I looked it up and apparently he was playing an Arma 2 DayZ Mod.  Now is there a difference between regular DayZ and the Arma 2 DayZ Mod????  Because the DayZ I play doesn't have any cars or anything like that.

The DayZ mod is what jumpstarted the DayZ standalone (What you're playing now. Or as you said, the "regular" DayZ). The DayZ mod is essentially what the DayZ SA will become, but much more polished & optimized, & then some.

DayZ Mod is older and the first incarnation of DayZ.  DayZ Standalone is the continuation of the project picked up by Bohemia.

Oh okay thanks.  How do I go about getting the old DayZ with cars and stuff?  The one that Frankie plays.

You need Arma 2 Combined Ops (Arma2 Base game and Operation Arrowhead) and need to download DayZ mod through one of several means (I dunno whats the most popular way now, many people have been complaining about installing it via DayZ Commander but I don't pay attention)
