why are no body friendly

Recommended Posts

Not everyone shoots on sight, but in my personal experience the split is about 25% friendly to 75% hostile.

As has been said before, if you come across an armed person who doesn't notice you, you can try asking them if they're friendly. If they don't immediately freeze and type/chat friendly back, you should shoot them.

I've had a few deaths from me asking friendly letting the other guy look around, and as soon as they spot me they put a round in my head.

The sad part is that even if the person responds with a "friendly" you can't really trust them. I've heard far too many horror stories of people who played with and helped out another survivor, and right when they were about to quit for the night, the other person blew their head off and took their stuff.

Personally, I've started just yelling "FREEZE!" into my mic when I see people instead of asking their intentions, and then just forcing them to leave under gunpoint, or slowly backing away from them while keeping the crosshairs on. Much safer imo.

(and yeah, the situation is totally different if you join a group, but I like lone wolfing it... for now at least)

If I see someone and they don't seem to know I'm there, I say nothing and proceed to back away. If they notice me, then I will say something.

The chat doesnt always seem to work. Out of the 4 people I met 3 were hostile. The 4th i didnt wait to find out, blew his bloody legs of and watched as he was eaten by all the zeds. I can't trust anyone except real life friends. Almost everyone is out there to get you.

If you are a friendly god bless you.

Uh, how about any MMORPG that has any element of PvP in it? WoW comes to mind, and that is about as carebareish as you can get.

to all the people telling the OP that people are MORE friendly inland and up north, that is just wrong.

those northern folk will shoot ya soon as they see you because they dont want to run all the way back up there.

you either find your friends in the coastal towns, or you dont.

i found a friend today in cherno,

we met during the evening, as he proceeded to rain extremely poorly aimed ak bullets from the roof above me, i was screaming out over direct chat stop shooting me you ass im friendly...no response just more gunfire, i finally spotted him, nailed a single m1911 shot into the chest, he backed off to bandage, i heard him yell out some shit about how was i supposed to know ur friendly. told him to eat a fat one as i ran off wondering how he could be such a poor aim. Shot over 2 clips at me ....
