I'm blind! Bug?

So I logged out in a small house and when I logged back in later I was blind. I could move around, I could put items into my hands, I could drink from my bottle, I could even open and close the doors. Does anyone know how to fix this?

A possible cause I thought of was that someone put a burlap sack on my head while I was logging out (I've never had that happen to me before so I don't know what it looks like). Is that what happened?

I'm thinking of getting my friend to log in and come over to my body and kill me so I can respawn and pick it all up again but if you guys know another way to fix this I'd love to hear it.

I'd suggest taking off your stuff before he kills you. That way nothing gets ruined. Other than that, i have no clue.

Yeah I know. I'm up at Gorka so I was considering having him lead me all the way to the coast so I don't have to run so far when I come back (I don't want the server to reset before I can reach my body). =)

I actually think your gamma is set rather low + you're on a server where it's currently night time.
Everything is really dark and you suppose you're blind, but actually it's just night ;).

Atleast, that's my guess.

Not trying to be angry here, but how stupid do you think I am? =P

I already put my brightness and gamma settings up and I joined 4 different 24/7 daylight servers and kept getting the same issue.

Go into your video settings click on video and then get out of options should fix it...

Well that was weird... I had tried relogging onto many different servers but I just logged on again after a few hours and it was fine... Very strange.

Apparently the fix is to just wait a while and log back in.
