MSI Stealth Pro - lowest graphics - FOR REAL?

Okay.

 

I could run DayZ decently on a lenovo ideapad with an i5 processor and bottom tier GPU.

 

I recently bought an MSI Stealth Pro:

 

16 GB RAM

 

Nvidia GTX 870m

 

i7 4710HQ CPU

 

 

Nvidia experience tells me I don't meet the minimum requirements for the game. I laugh it off. Enter the game. The resolution goes into basically 100 pixels for my entire screen. I screw my eyes and try to get to the resolution setting in configure and can't change it to full HD.

 

What is happening?

Make sure you're using the GTX870m and not the intel hd graphics. You should be able to do this in the nividia control panel also try setting your power management settings to high this should force the laptop to use the nividia card instead of the intel hd graphics
