Settings need a default button.

Recommended Posts

So a while ago, I was fiddling with my settings, and the whole thing got screwed up, so now it renders poorly and doesnt take up the whole screen. I was so desperate I reinstalled the whole game. Still not fixed. It would help if there was a default settings button.

Default settings would be easier for sure, but in the mean time..........

You will need to uninstall the game, go into file explorer and delete any remnants there, as well as user settings and delete any instance of the games data there.

Run registry cleaner just to be sure,  THEN re-install the game.

Everything should be like the day you first launched DayZ

You can set DayZ.cfg and the <name>.DayZProfile files to read-only.

It would be nice with a default button, thats for sure.

But for now, just delete the DayZ folder in documents and it should create the files again when you launch the game.

No need to reinstall at all, as all the settings are in that folder and should revert top default values, when the game creates them again  :)
