Dead reckoning.

I'm finding navigation difficult. Even with maps (is there a way to combine them to save space?). I've been using the sun, but would really love a compass and watch. Where is the best place to find a compass?

You can find them in most random of places, from normal houses, factories and storage units to military bases.

I have never found a watch, and only twice come across a compass. So far my stradetgy is to spawn, find Electo for a quick loot of the firestation for an axe the a quick run to the supermarket, then make my way NW to the center of  the map, looting the smaller towns. I don't find allot of great loot this way, but I do get to explore both the map and game mechanics without worrying about other players (I have only seen one other player, we scared eachother and both ran in opposite directions). I'm mainly exploring the viability of living off the land with as little forays into towns as possible till I feel a bit better with my skills to risk heading to the more popular places on the map.
