I don't know, never really tried playing with it in close, except when trying to hit a really far target.

From a 1PP standpoint, the slider being dead-center of the bar works best.

I've been meaning to switch to hardcore, just for better gameplay, more tactical and such. 

I'm going to die on this character then make the switch.
