From RAW to BURNT cooking

Using the portable gas stoves we have tried about a dozen times to cook food.
It goes straight from RAW to BURNT. We had our whole group watch various deer and cow steaks on in the cooking pot.

None of the items ever became "cooked."

Known bug?

Use the fireplace, the stove is fucked for some reason. But while using the fireplace you have 15 seconds to get the meat out once it cooks before it gets burnt.
