Taking damage for no reason

Seems to happen mostly when indoors, just standing still. Screen shakes, everything turns grey for a second and then bam, something ruined. I alt tabbed out just now to post this, but its really annoying having clothing and items ruined for no reason.

 

Does this happen to anyone else?

If it happens to your pants, it might be due to you being above ground inside a building. 

 The server could possibly belive that you are falling for a brief second, resulting in your pants taking the hit, usually the boots goes at the same time.

This also happens if you drop off a slightly too tall ledge, you take no damage, but boots+pants goes boom.

I make a habit of not alt tabbing when in this exact situation, I've actually died due to it a couple of times. 

 Have a feeling it's something to do with the client not sending information quick enough when one tab out.

No I meant I tabbed out after it happened to post this. PS getting spawn timer when rejoining the same server after the game crashes is stupid.

happened to me twice last week before update upstairs in buildings, ruined boots and trousers, blue door 3 story buildings with central steps, it might have been both times?

also zombies hit distance was  bit crazy on last update and they were hitting upstairs from super far away
