Does "healing" fix food poisoning?

Recommended Posts

So many hours ago in game I got food poisoned and was going to let someone here kill me to have my gear because the screen was black and white(even though it was only the olive sick icon...)

But I decided screw it and pushed on, slowly getting more sick and occasionally vomiting. Then I found 7 badly damaged charcoal tabs after hitting the brown/red sick status(not bright red)

Took all of them, stopped being sick and stopped getting messages about it.

For hours it stayed as the same icon but my screen gradually went back to it's usual colourful self some 2-3 hours later.

And then I found some blue berries.

I seen on the forum that they're poisonous so I thought fuck it lets see if they lied or not! They didn't, more food poisoning! And another charcoal tab quest.

I went to the hidden military base where there's 2 hospitals to look for some, none, got an AKM at last w00t.

On the way there my sickness got worse.

And then after a while it just went away...not complaining...

Does healing status cure you? It had been something like 5 hours since I took those 7 charcoal tabs.

I took some antibiotics for kicks too, pretty sure they don't help though.

If charcoal tabs continue to work 5 hours later I'm not sure why my sickness would stay bad, almost go away and then after consuming another poisonous item get even worse then disappear...

From what I read eslewhere a few months back yes being healthy helps you overcome the illness. I think if you can remain in healthy state until during stage one of the illness you beat it. I even heard people were able to survive drinking the disinfectant this way...I exhort you though do not go try and see if I am lying about the disinfectant ;)

Speaking of AKM...any chance you got an MP5K or some nice M4 attachments? I can give you all my pristine attachments and 2 drum mags in exchange :)

I've drunk disinfectant while healthy, fully energized and fully hydrated and died within five minutes.

Ah, well I wasn't actually healthy I hit healing status after eating the berries and some steak, it must have helped. But it seemed to do it so quickly, if that's how it works you don't really need charcoal pills

Nope sorry I was using an SKS before. I actually like my AKM as a sniper right now(PSO scope) awesome gun.

Perhaps about the disinfectant was just to get people to try it :P

You have to steel through sicknesses. Charcoal tabs only prevent you from getting the sick status.
