Nope, found two so far, and found quite a few binocs.  I do believe frosti said they were broken/bugged though.

I wish more people/players would use them. I think I wasted 3 or 4 batteries keeping my radio on and switching channels to pick something up while running across the map. Heck, used them to send distress signals (some light RP) but only encountered survivors who caught my voice in the vicinity.

Pretty sure atm they're bugged. I know that if you drop them, the only person that can hear it is you, idk about carrying.

i'm sure i've used 10x that battery wise and have never heard a random person ever yet only using default 87.8

Currently their range when they worked were around 600 meters. Rumors says they will have range increased to 30 kilometrs.

I noticed there is no longer a chat channel reserved for the radio. You used to change it from direct to whatever frequency you had the radio set to. Now there is only direct chat. Anyone know how to speak on the radios now?

Found one last night in a grocery store, pristine condition. Never hear a peep out of it. Even on a 40 man server I couldn't get anyone to answer

These walkie talkies are too rare to use them. I never found one so did my friends. So even if you find it, you'll very hardly find another player using it.

I picked one up yesterday at NWAF on .46 then promptly died to another player 30 seconds later. Cursed I tell ya!
