... I'll add that a single shot from the SKS didn't put it down either. Possibly tougher than normal zeds?

Mine took 3 shots from AKM.

So slower but harder to take out. So I take it I'll need to at least double-axe him with a Fire Axe, maybe even more is needed with a Splitting Axe.

I still haven't encountered one of those, but I think I call them Goopy (or Goopies). They just remind me of a character from another game I play.  :D
