DayZ SA Version Mismatch, how?

I kept running into errors of disconnecting and was having to kill the DayZ process a lot to get back into the game. Then suddenly I logged in and my character (best one yet) was gone, and my version says .45.--------. While all the server versions are .46-------. This doesn't make sense because I was just playing on that version.

 

How did it just degrade itself?

 

Steam update/verify integrity of cache has done nothing, is a reinstall my only option?

 

edit---- Forgot to mention that randomly my ping went up way high for all servers the same second the problem started, aside from 10-15 southwest servers which were the only ones under 100ms even though im PNW. Changing the filter to 1000ms I find all servers on version 46 sitting at 350-500 ping. I did full modem resets and nothing changed.

Servers are down for maintenance....
 

Does anyone ever read server messages anymore?
