Chopping trees bugged recently?

Hi Guys,

 

Since i logged in yesterday night, chopping trees doesnt work. It gives me a gunshot everytime i chop plus the tree never falls down / gives firewood.

 

Very unfortuantly since i need to splint my arm and have no acces to morphine atm.

the dialogue chop firewood appears and you mouse button/F this dialogue?

It sounds like you're actually hitting tree like you would a Zombie by swinging your axe.   You need to scroll over tree and hit your "Use" key, which for me is the "F" key.   You should not hear any sounds when you chop a tree this way.

Why not search for sticks/kindling in forests? All you need to do is just look at the forest floor and you should get the option.

Or chop down bush, yields sticks as well.

Tried that -> works. May need to cut down on the ganja bit..

I've found chopping trees across roads is an easy way to make interesting conversation (and also get yourself killed).
