In short, you do not need to rebuy the dlc for the same computer.

But it's a bit convoluted. The DLC is encrypted to the current AO key when you run the DLC for the first time. So you have to make a @PMC# (1,2,etc.) folder in your OA directory copy your pmc data into a folder for each OA cd-key and run separate shortcuts as if the dlc were a mod. Your launch options will look like this:

"-mod=@DayZ -mod=@PMC1"

"-mod=@DayZ -mod=@PMC2"

If you get a decryption of file headers error on startup you have the DLC data for the wrong OA key running.

I have a Lan setup here, and family and friends use 5 OA keys (DayZ characters) across 3 different computers, so I've had to use this setup on multiple occasions for Hi-res dlc textures, as me buying the same dlc 5 times is out of the question, considering we purchased our games for DayZ and not Arma2

I can't see steam putting Arma2 on sale for the summer sale. Why would they? It's always in the 1-3 top seller spots since DayZ came out.

Yes, a discount seems very unlikely, as sales are used to generate further purchases. The DayZ mod is already doing that quite well by itself.

To be clear, I thought you only needed BAF for the new textures, not PMC. Or is it the other way around? Or do I need both?

Both provide the good textures for their respective items. For example buying PMC will make the starting clothing have better textures, amongst other things. While the BAF will make the camo clothing have better textures, etc.

Are there any homemade graphic overhauls that are compatible with DayZ?

PMC for the spawn clothing, BAF for the camo and ghillie suit. A few weapons such as the AS-50 and the L85A2 (amongst others) are also made high-quality when you use BAF.

If you can copy the folder from one local copy of ArmA II to another, does that mean you can run the high quality textures without purchasing the content?

I think a sale would be a good idea for them, I've got a bunch of friends who are wary about dropping 30 bucks on a game that's in alpha. Well, not a bunch, but at least 3-4 friends that wont give in just because all of the crap negative reviews the game has had because people are butthurt about little things in the game.

*edit* I say "30 bucks on a game", but I mean mod, but generally speaking... All the new players buy Arma II for Dayz, so it sorta fits.
