inked666 0 Posted June 25, 2014 Hey everyone. So, I bought, downloaded and installed Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA (combined opps) today, then downloaded the dayz mod (all from steam). Every time that I try to join a server, I either get: Bad server message/ a red X next to the name/ a red circle next to the name/ You've been kicked from the game (without even starting to play!) or this: http://i21.photobucket.com/albums/b254/FyreFlareon/dayzUtesError.pngI've read loads of posts about fixing it but NOTHING has. Ive tried deleting the beta and manually changing it, I've restarted my laptop so many times I'm dizzy, I dont have dayZ commander and I'm pretty crap at managing all the files etc that people have described in other posts. I'm pulling my hair out here!! WHAT THE HELL DO I HAVE TO DO TO PLAY THIS GAME!!!???!! Someone PLEASE help me. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Dchil 829 Posted June 25, 2014 Did you go to the A2 Operation arrow head shortcut on steam, right click, select the betas tab and then select the beta? If you installed the "Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead Beta" thing then you are doing it wrong. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

inked666 0 Posted June 25, 2014 Ok, So ive downloaded and attempted to install the version unsder the latest (as thats what every other thread says to do) but then I get: Wong CD Key and then it goes back to being the latest version.... :huh: Am I just plain stupid or...??? Serious Stan 202 Posted June 25, 2014 Hey, im no computer expert either, il say how i think you should proceed. 1: Buy arma 2 and arma2 OA from steam. or combined ops.2: Download DayZ Commander3: Run both arma2 and arma2 OA once. this is so Commander understands the game directory.4: install desired mods in dayzcommander.5: check if the server you are trying to join have the same version as you have. (Regular DayZ?)Open Steam > Right Click Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead > Betas > "Beta -"Make sure Arma 2 is at latest beta version (May use DayZ Commander for this; make sure you run as admin.)Check if file directories are correct on DayZ Commander.Edit: Will leave these options up in-case others have the same problem. :) Edited June 26, 2014 by TIC321 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
