A story of progression (on regular, which we rarely play). Progression that is unsual for dayz imo, esp how it happened there. 

There is two of us and this is how we started out in Berenzino. If you can't be arsed to read a "we did this awesome stuff"-story, then this probably isn't for you. I probably wouldn't read it :P But I thought I'd share anyway how dayz progression can look like, but is unfortunatly too rare.

Two mosins without attachments and a bit of ammo. We sucessfully robbed five people in berenzino without bloodletting and in a gentleman manner. My buddy acquired a greenhoodie from one of the victims of our robbery and i acquired a camo cap (call it a forced trade. The victim received a brown hoodie and a green cap in return). Both one of our favourite clothings. We then decided to go to the NEA, despite the server being up for about an hour now. 

 

Upon arriving we noticed activity in the Office beside the ACT, sneaked up there, I walked in, onehitted a clownmasked guy upstairs who himself had a SKS. Took the SKS from him, then we noticed movement outside and saw a guy with an AKM trying to get inside our office. I opened the door, stormed out and unloaded my SKS clip on him, surprisingly (or not, since the fucking weaponshake is there) neither me nor him hit anything! I rushed back inside to reload, but that guy had balls and followed me immediatly while shooting....but he didn't know about my friend who suddenly appeared from below the stairs (where I fled) and onehit him with his mosin. 

 

The guy had an AKM, as mentioned, and my beloved M4 on his back with an ACOG and a Highcapacity Vest. Jackpot! My friend too the AKM and the Vest, I took the M4. We killed a couple more guys at the NEA (total so far: 5 kills, 5 robberies), providing me with an assaultvest.

Just when we wanted to leave the airfield, i got hit in the chest by a sniper,  sitting on the easthill. We fled the scene, met some friendlies in Black Meadows - left them alone, looked for players in the new city, found none. We decided to look for the sniper who shot me after I found a new hoodie.

We failed to find him / he left. We then headed back to the airfield, spotting a group of 3 players at the ACT. We waited until they reached the industrialcompound with the well, but missed the perfect chance to kill them. They ran further south, to the compound with the green house and the well. We opened fire. 

One of them got killed, the others (policecapguy and motorhelmetguy) escaped due to miscommunication of ours. I hit one of the targets twice despite the terribad shake and being on the run. We decided to pursue them through the forest...Now the messy part begins that is almost unbelievable. One of the guys who we pursued can right into us, my friend sprayed him to death. He had a full TTSKO and a policecap, he had shitloads of AKM mags, we moved further into the forest, towards the tiny settlement that is south of the NEA ACT. There we heard SKS and AKM shots very close by. 

In that settlement there is a green house relativly seperated from the rest of the settlement. My friend saw a guy running there and sawed him down with his AKM, I was approaching said house from another direction. I enter the tiny house to see one cowboy fully TTSKOd with a drummag AKM staring out of the window in my mates direction. He didn't notice me coming through the door. He receives a headshot. I grin, then i see a TTSKOd guy in the damn potted plant! I didn't notice himb ecause of the plant and him being half-submerged inside the wall, because he was looking through it. I spray him down, he has an M4 too, ammo for me! Fucking plant....

Suddenly my mate gets shots by AKM and SKS from the side. I can't help him. He fells unconscious and died later.

I fled the house and tried to pursue his murderes. I see one guy with an SKS inside the forest, he dies to a headshot. A little later almost in the same spot I see a guy with an AKM, who looked exacly like policeguy. I thought we hid his body? He dies aswell, failing to hit me. 

 

At this point I suspect only one enemy remaining... motorhelmet guy. I decide to call the day though, and intend to return to the greenhouse to reap the harvest...and what do I see leeching off my mates corpse right next to the house? Motorhelmet guy! He receives a headshot. I browse his equipment quickly, noticing he has a SKS, but I heard a mosinshot earlier...and said mosin just near missed me! fuck. I roam the field and forest to circle around where I expected him. Only a minute later I see him running from the forest where I killed policeguy 2.0, I take aim and....lag?

I'm dissapointed, I casualy headshot him multiple times while he walks without movement on the open field, while I was prepared to be dead when the lag is gone. It turns out I was hit in the legs after the lag was gone, but he died. He had an AKM in his hands and a Mosin on his back.

 

VITORY!

I enter the greenhouse, my chin drops as I browse through the equipment of the people I killed inside. I take my precious M4 on the back, and an AKM with drummags and everything you can imagine, aswell as a pristine ttsko set with me. I run off into the woods, being incredibly happy...but then...I get slight grey flashes like someone is hitting me...then it dawns on me: a hacker!

 

I run and get hit by an invisible hackers fists. Eventually he just took all my equipment while i was running from him. Leaving my only with gloves, glasses, my camocap and shoes. I briefly saw him near a tree, looked blueish...ORELuniform, he knocks me out.

 

I wake up and run back to some of the corpses, being genuinly pissed that he took my M4, as I hid the body who had the other M4. I see him again after I looted an AKM, nearly ruined TTSKO set and a LRS Mosin. I started talking to him and he left my more or less alone, but knocked me out again.

I gave my mate the AKM and went with the Mosin and we went to bed...total killcount in this engagement: 8, of which 6 are by my M4. The next day started out well... I got myself another brown hoodie and an SKS. But it was this doomed friday with the charresets...resulting in this upon relogging in a deserted area west of Krasnostav:

Dare I say...fuck? Anyway, Im not sure if that was due to the cursed reset-friday or a hacker taking my shit once again...but why would he take my boots? I decided to not give up and reequip on this veteran character that has been wounded 3 times at this point, killed and robbed alot of people. Before I figured out what caused the massive serverlag, i relogged a couple times to find a working server, causing a complete charreset. And that's the end.
