Bad FPS on a fine PC

Hello Everonye,

 

I have some serious problems playing DayZ.

 

Specs:

 

FX-6300

R9 270X

8 GB of RAM

 

I only get ~40 FPS in the Forst and ~20-30 FPS in the Cities on very low Settings playing on 1080p.

 

What is wrong, please help me.

I don't get why people complain about bloody 30, 40 FPS. It's better than what I get, and my gameplay is still smooth.

@Guppy, I realise your frustration but if you will post in a thread then at least give the OP a little more info.

 

@zootlex, There are several guides around on optimising your fps but at the moment your framerate seems perfectly average.

 

Remember Many Arma optimisation tips carry over to DAYZ.

I know my PC isn't high end but for that speccs that FPS are sad.

its an unoptimized alpha build. for that, 30FPS is excellent, no matter what hardware.

Seems a bit excessive and a waste of resources, but do what you will.

To try and help a bit, I'd try looking at guides for tweeking your config file.

Edit: Editing the cfg + Start Options helped me a lot. I got 50-50 FPS in the wild + small villages and around 40 FPS in Cities.
