I can't play dayz until I get back from my vacation. But i've heard they fixed a lot of weapons+sounds.

 

On youtube there's a video of 0.45 experimental and in that one the M4 still sounded pathetic.

 

How is 0.45 stable, fixed or still bad?

EDIT if it does sound crap then what is the legite reason? since all the other weapons sounds good

Yup it still does, just saw a fresh youtube video.

 

Why isnt the m4 fixed?

All the other wepons sounds good, AKM sounds like real.

M4 however sounds like a typewriter. They have acess to ARMA sound library, what's the problem?

Well to be fair, the ARMA M4 sounds pretty bad too.

They updated a lot of weapon sounds in one of the older updates. I am sure the M4 is getting better sounds in the future too.

I guess the ´´legite´´ reason is the simple fact that this game is unfinished. The sound is a placeholder. (I don't think they had their sound team running when they made the M4)

Pretty sure the weapon sounds are pretty low on the list of priorities.

 

However, very interested/curious to see what their new audio guy ends up coming with. Audio advancement has been distinctly lacking these days in DayZ.
