Teleporting back five minutes or so and food not being eaten for minutes

This only started happening since I updated to the beta Arma patch and 1.7.1.x, but I've been getting these symptoms:

- Sometimes, when I've been running across a field or running someplace, I'll teleport back to where I was five minutes ago. This is repetitive, so if/when it does happen, it can happen several times in succession, as though I 'saved' at a point, and the game keeps 'loading' me back to that point every time it tries to 'save'. Very annoying when I'm moving in a group and suddenly find myself where I was a few minutes ago.

- I'll try to eat a can in my inventory, only to have it stay there for minutes, until as I'm running around my guy suddenly stoops down a couple minutes later and eats the can (and I get the text saying that I've eaten a can of sardines).

Is this happening to anyone else? And if it has been... has anyone found a fix?

i also have this problem sometimes and it seems to get fixed if you don't use steam overlay or tab out of the game.

everytime i tab out of the game and my mousewheel isn't working, the debugmonitor will disappear soon and i'll be teleported to a random position i were before. sometimes it also causes massive lagspikes.

if you're tabbing out/using steam overlay, tab out of the game until your mousewheel (scrolling up/down, not pressing mousewheel!!!) menu works again... that fixed it for me.
