Newbie needs help= Corrupt file= Verify integrety doesnt work

Hi everyone,just downloaded dayz havnt played it yet.

I have searched and it seems i have a common problem. When i select play in steam it goes black screen then says "Corrupted data detected"

 

I have tried validating the games cache in properties almost ten times now.,to no avail. I have tried restarting both dayz, steam and my computer also to no avail.

 

I do not want to download the entire game again.

 

Is there one particular file that most commonly causes this issue? If so i will delete it and try the validate once more.

 

This is my last option to ask you guys, so i appreciate the help.

Steam will check that the file is present, it does not check for corrupt data in a file.

You should use the Change Server option rather than the Play button, which is still a bit buggy as far as I'm concerned.

 

This problem happens when internet bugz out in the middle of a download or there is an important drop in data traffic.

Unfortunatly the only way to fix the problem is to do a fresh install if unable to identify where the corrupt data hides.

Remove any files that you have in your My Docs/Dayz, while you're at it.

How do i unistall and reinstall the game? do i just delete the folder in programe files then let that verify integrity download whats needed??????

reinstalled the game now it starts i get to the main menu then it drops out back to desktop saying"

 

Dayz has encountered an error and needed to close

 

Any ideas?
