Act III 50 Posted June 19, 2014 I woke up yesterday, unaware of the 0.45 patch hitting stable servers. I got in game as a fresh spawn, and straight away I saw 4-5 people down the road from me (In Dolina). I instantly thought they would be a group of bandits, but I decided to run up and say hey. Turns out, the entire group of 5-6 people were all fresh spawns as well. Nobody knowing eachother, we were all ecstatic to be in a group. We had all clarified that 0.45 was released, and my balls instantly became hard. We then set forth into town to loot up, go hunting, fishing and make camp with my new friends. This is the first time in DayZ I have ever experienced so many friendly players. I hope this friendly, survivor mindset remains in players, because I have never had so much fun in DayZ before. Anybody else have a similar experience to this? Or did I just get extremely lucky?
Unsun31 9 Posted June 19, 2014 this is happened to me aswell. I was just spawning in as a fresh character and i instantly hear 2-3 people talking to each other and make friends with them. one of the guys gave me some food (as you spawn a bit hungry). Was pretty awesome to get away from all the KOS

blunce 991 Posted June 19, 2014 People are seeming to be much more social with the new update. Check out this video, this is the DayZ community I like to see :) http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/199480-12-strangers-unite-for-camping-and-stories/

TheWizard14 372 Posted June 20, 2014 This thread almost makes me want to come down out of the hills.Almost. Don't do it buddy! They make you think it's all friendly and games, but as soon as you step out of that tree line, a group of bandits will be waiting for you. no random freshies wanting to be friendly b/c groups like in those pictures are 1/10000000000000 chance of happening
ld-airgrafix 403 Posted June 20, 2014 Yeah hahaha, its a bit difficult to go all the way with trust now a daysI actually like this picture alot, its what i imagined dayz to be. Players coming together to survive the night, but eyeing each other off, never fully trusting each other. Im sick of pvp videos, where players ignore zombies completely, running around them just to kill another player. Sick of watching full kitted players take on each other, no survival aspect at all, so this thread is a pleasant surprise. I would have liked to see more mellee weapons rather than guns. Guns to me in a survival game should be a luxury, two to three bullets are appreciated alot more than a magazine of 40
