I thought they patched duplicating by .45 patch. Seems not.

Pretty sure next time you spawn you'll be reset. I've seen people try to dupe their gear by killing their clone, then spawning with nothing.

If that's correct then this may explain increase of character "resets" lately.

 

Clonig/duplication your character went unpunished for so long that many players started to see nothing wrong with it, same like with combat logging, removing grass .pbo to "increase" FPS etc.

I have a hope that duping is fixed. I think if duping was possible the we would have servers full of people running aroung with AKMs with 75 round drum mags and we have not, right?

Well not necessarely, I mean not so many people dupe. Right? RIGHT?

 

Also that way to clone yourself has been since alpha release, it has been major disappointment they haven't fixed it after so many updates

Duping isn't fixed, there's just other ways to do it.

The current format for duping is knock the person out let him log out then loot his corpse and when he joins in he will have all his stuff.

Weird, here I was thinking that logging out unconscious will result in death and having fresh character on relog, same as logging out handcuffed.

That is what was happening to me when I got knocked out in fist fight and just logged out.

If duping causes a character reset the next time the duper logs on, that's good. Bad for all the accidental dupes.

Now we wait for all the whine-threads "help, my character was reset!!!!!".
