How do I install this mod?(2014)

Every time I pick a server it says connecting failed, bad version, server rejected or script scan complete, bad content not found and I always get disconnected and it's starting to piss me off. Using dayz commander, newest mod, new patched everything. I need a step by step from the beginning.

To install the mod successfully, follow these steps:

 

• Download ARMA 2
• Launch ARMA 2
• Download ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead
• Launch ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead
• Copy "Addons" folder from ARMA 2 to ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead\Common (bugfix / will ask you to override -> confirm!)
• Follow the steps in this thread: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/187129-bad-version-server-rejected-connection-any-all-problems-regarding-beta-patches-for-arma-2-oa/
• Launch all of the games again, just to be sure
• Download DayZ Mod from Steam
• Launch DayZ Mod
• Search for servers in ingame browser
• Done

Or, download an awesome launcher made just for DayZ called DayZ Commander.

it can auto install, auto revert, and has way more server choices.

It can't possibly have more servers than the ingamebrowser, as the ingamebrwoser uses the same list DayZCommander uses, but even more - as it uses the Steam-Browser as well, which DayZCommander doesn't.

 

 

Where do I put the mod-@dayz part at?

 

 

This works for any game on Steam, but in our case it'd be ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead

 

• Rightlick Game
• Klick "Properties"
• In the Window that pops up now select "Set Launch Parameters"
• Add whatever parameters you need, in our case "-mod=@Dayz"
• Click OK
• Launch
•

Follow those steps described in there, if you do, you will end up with the right version. Remember, that there's two versions then and you have to launch the different games in your Steam Library accordingly.

Covered by this:

If you want to go for 103718, you can either launch ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead Beta (Obsolete)  - again, as described in the thread.

 

Or rightclick "Play with Beta" - as this is the same thing.

When I launch arma 2 dayz mod play with beta it takes me to a menu, I hit multiplayer and it says patch 1.62 is available at arms2 .com. I hit ok and there are 0 servers
