Is there a lot of player friendly interaction, or is it pvp oriented? Not saying pvp is bad, I personally enjoy making friends and base building tho.... I guess I could say I prefer pve.

Yes! Lots of friendly players and COOP going on atm. I've had plenty of people saying in chat that they would give heli rides or help build bases etc etc. :)
