Been waiting a long time to play this as i got rid of my gaming rig years ago as i moved in with my partner and thought i would be done with the whole gaming thing. I was WRONG! anyways, bought a new system, found out DayZ is now standalone so no need to buy ARMA 2. Got playing straight away, took a while to get used to controls n everything.... spent 3 hours perhaps scavenging buildings looting everything i could find, was really happy with the char i made, came across 2 people in a village, i waved, they shot..... since then i have respawned numerous of times, looking through houses to find they have already been looted and have nothing, i mean nothing, even going on low populated servers with 1 hour restarts and being killed over n over again by other people.. why kill me if i have nothing :/ even on the no KoS servers... all that being said.... NinjaTurkey 255 Posted June 14, 2014 Two things to say here. 1. No such thing as a no kos server, it is against the rules of the current alpha stage.2. The bandits or kos'ers as they should really be called are unfortunately, like the majority of the dayz playerbase, stupid. The average dayz player has very low IQ and cant talk their way out of a situation so they let their gun do the talking. gannon46 788 Posted June 14, 2014 enjoy the buzz while it lasts friend eventually it'll leave a bad taste in your mouth and leave you shaken and full of rage and frustration. I to love this game and I havn't played it for about 2 months now. can't put up with arena style that's so prevalent right now. though I do understand theres just nothing to do except kill one another and run 30 min here and there and its gotten boring to me. goodluck and play in small doses don't get a tolerance to dayz like some of us did and get burnt out.hell when I play now its just for the cheap rush of adrenaline that comes from gunfights and even its not hitting me like it once did. hopefully later on new features can put the pep back in my step. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Mostly waiting to see if anyone I know picks it up once it's been fleshed out a bit more, because lone wolfing has become boring and dangerous.
