Authentication timeout after in game?

any ideas as to why i am able to log on to my server (dedi box) and spawn on the beach, but after about 10 seconds (a few steps...lol) i get "authentication timeout"? server and client are running the same version, 1.63/112555. it does the same thing whether Battleye is enabled or not. server is running pwnzors latest server pack. getting ready to post on opendayz too, but thought i'd ask here as well. any help would be awesome :beans:

guess its only us with this issue...

 

one thing strikes me as quite odd...everytime i verify game cache Arma2 reports 2 files corrupt and reacquiring, ArmaOA always reports one file corrupt and reacquiring....same thing on my server, and other machines. after re-acquisition i will usually start both games to the main menu (have also done it without) and then attempt to get into my server, same authentication timeout shit. verify game cache again and guess what....corrupt files that need to be reacquired...tiring really as i have to do everything on 3 machines, server, main and test machine (yes three different steam accounts and all legit steam copies). was hoping someone might have some insight here...question had 17 views on OpenDayz, but no replies....

so after yet another complete re-install of server and client following kichilron's instructions to the letter, adding the -mod@Dayz results in

 

Addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_Dubbing_CounterAttack' 

 

and

 

Cannot load 'ca\chernarus\chernarus.wrp

 

i copied the Arma2 folder contents into Arma2OA folder and now no longer get the errors but still get the "authentication timeout". wish i could figure out what authentication its even referring to, because i have already successfully logged onto the server when it happens. i spawn in and can almost make it from the beach to the railroad tracks before i get the "authentication timeout" message. log on again and i start right where i was when i got the message, close to the RR tracks. weird, and i am totally stumped--(copied from my opendayz post)

 

guess i'm just fucked

Yea theres an issue with the ghost system atm. You will have to wait a little before you can login again. This has been fixed in 1.8.2

Thank you....holy shit i was about to drive myself insane...the wait isnt an issue, SA 45 dropped to stable today if i read correctly so will be checking out all that goodness :)

 

any ideas as to when 1.8.2 is gonna drop?

Well, the timeframe is that close, that you wouldn't have much time to start anything else big.

...quick question regarding the "ghosting" thing...i saw in the patch notes that this can be disabled by server admin--that would be me--how do i disabled it and will that allow me to log in to my server and play?

in your mmission open the init.sqf 

look for 

dayz_enableGhosting = true; //Enable disable the ghosting system.

and change to

dayz_enableGhosting = false; //Enable disable the ghosting system.

This is happening to me on pretty much every server. Are you saying this will be addressed in a new patch coming out soon? How soon? Today?

as per the changelog thread, 1.8.2 was sent to BI 6/22 for confirmation before public release. could be anytime really.....
