WEIRD glitch

I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this but here's what is going down. 

 

I was playing in a US experimental when I received a "session lost" message. No big deal. So when I went to rejoin the server, I saw a duplicate of my character there. I assumed it would disappear in a little bit but it just kept sitting there, staring at me with its soulless eyes. 

 

It seems like my character is STUCK in the server. I ran a few hundred yards away, got out of the server and joined and my character is still sitting in the same spot. 

 

Whenever I try to join another server I get a 30 second timer and then my games crashes. 

 

Could this explain why people have been experiencing their characters getting erased on experimental lately?

I experienced this a couple weeks back as well on exp. My advice to you would simply be to just join a different server & play on that one for a bit. Should fix itself. I think that it's due to desync, but don't quote me on that.

It is a very very very very very well known bug, called dupe or duping. You can kill your clone and get the gear (if you have any).

it's your doppleganger. Shoot it if you want to be a new spawn. Or make a game of it and aggro players and zombies to it and try to keep it alive.
