how do I make fire with sticks and matches

I was find the sticks so I put them in my backpack because I thinking they is be useful and when my frend got disconnect I go to the house and find the matches so I think I can make a fire XD but I cant do it!!! I put sticks on road and put matches in my hand and trying everything to make the fire but I cant find the right way to make fire happen maybe my matches are wet from the rain and then I remember I was in the pond for drink the water yesterday LOL maybe I put matches inside the pond in my trouser pocket what a noob so how I dry the matches if I don't have the fire for drying them?

You need something that burn fast (paper, rags etc.).

hahaha I was trying but I didn't even have the rags NOOB!!! I had rags for bandages but I didn't try to make the fire with them now I know I need rags I will try now ty

I honestly think you're better off saving those for a splint; in case of emergency.
