if you buy dayz now on pc will it work on mac when it is realised?

They have said they would like to see the game ported to other systems once it has been released, but nothing has been confirmed.

It kinda does now :P

I think steam has a policy where if you buy a game with multiple os versions, you can download whichever you need if you've bought it once. Think that may cover it if they ever make a Mac optimized version. Which I think they will, but it will be a while as they've said they won't work on that til after official release on PC.

And unless you have a Mac Pro to play it on, it'll be a fairly grim experience.

If you actually like to do anything with your computer other than be hip, you should do yourself a favor and build your own PC.  The new Mac Pro was outdated the day it arrived and you can build better for less than 1/4 the price. $4000?  Seriously?  That thing is going to be a dust collector by August.
