Zombie infested cities with rare loot

Recommended Posts

Add 1 or 2 new cities that are infested with zombies but have some unique and very useful items that spawn in the middle. I'm talking enough zombies that would make it certain death for any individual trying to enter on their own. At minimum you'd need 3-5 people to stay alive and clear all the zombies. Of course the spawns would have to be in a place to where people would be greatly discouraged to server hop so they could farm it, like outside in the middle of a huge zombie spawn. This would also create an interesting PvP area if there's more than 1 group trying to clear their way to the prizes. Maybe one sneaks up on another while clearing to take them by surprise, or maybe they wait and let them get the loot and then ambush them on the way out.

I honestly hate this idea. Any idea that players should go "here for this" in my opinion is outright horrible. Things should be random, just for the authenticity. Zombie numbers are going to increase anyways, and if you want a challenge, shoot off your gun in the middle of Electro in a completely full server. Just gonna say it again, loot should be random, and this is "our story", with no certainties.

I like bigger cities, but I think that there should be more zombies all round (a bit slower and weaker tho) and I agree that loot should be random. I don't want there to be any place that you have to go to to find something.

The loot that spawned would be random but they would be unique. I get the point about having a specific spot for something and agree maybe it's not the best idea, but the main purpose was to give a group of people a reason to go there. There should be areas that are unsafe for people to travel alone. Yes, a big city on a full server is dangerous to travel alone, but that's why people stick to low pop servers. Just trying to add some flavor and more group PvP.

Yes, I see where you're coming from. Chernarus as it is is very rural; it would be nice to have a few areas or even neighboring regions that are a bit more developed.

Think logically. Why would having a larger amount of zombies in one area in any way influence the type of loot there?

Do zombies know how to manufacture now?

Maybe they took up metal working as a hobby instead of just standing on the street corners of towns like they do now.

If the loot was the same as any other city why would someone go there if they get the same stuff with significantly less risk? The idea was to attract groups of people by providing a substantial reward. Requiring a group to enter these cities might also give strangers a reason to cooperate instead of the usual KoS. Maybe it's not a city but a large military complex? Whatever fits.

i believe this idea should be like the helicopter crashes as in one random main city should have a herd of zombies "migrate" into it but loot should never change or even be included it should just be added as a challenge if anything for people who decide to camp the cities to give a harder time of looting that city in general. I'm still a bit against my own idea for this but I'd say if this idea was added i wouldn't want to see permanent towns with rare loot and mass of Zeds just to try to get it should all be random and if there was a reward i wouldn't want to see anything to rare being handed out, not unless the randomization chose that one rare item or two rare items from a generated rate list.

This is what I eventually would like to see the major cities become (i.e. Berezino, Chernogorsk, Elektrozavodsk, etc.)

Places where it's unfeasible for the ungeared to loot initially, thus forcing people inland. Then, once you're geared, you have the option of going back into these cities.

Only issue is making the loot decent enough for folks to come back to, whilst at the same time preventing it from getting into the hands of the average newspawn.

Definitely some kinks to work out, but might be worth a try eventually.

I agree, my entire party was killed by a guy that we think was using a clipping hack.
