Meeting a highly experienced player

Recommended Posts

So I was playing solo which I do not do often, I met a guy outside a warehouse and talked for a spell then ended up getting killed by a fresh spawn (i know n00b) I respawned right next to the same friendly guy and his new found friends and we went hunting for revenge, which was great fun.

This has to be the most exp player I have come across that did not KOS.

Here is a link to the Day Z episode if you care to check it out. http://youtu.be/c2D3ZM_J-ew

I would be very interested to know if anyone has meet anyone who is this friendly with a new spawn? I know I haven't since.....

I've had people help me when I was fresh. It can go 2 ways: either they see you as a threat because you have nothing to lose, or they see you as not a threat because they are better equipped than you. Other than people specifically hunting for fresh spawns, I'd say I generally encounter more of the latter.

lol no this doesn't usually happen to me.

This guy walks into a fire station, and me and two new found friends (one of which, we had brutually murdered eachother via bleedout in a firefight on NWAF. We spawned next to eachother and laughed it off ^-^)were in there. He has an M4.

My buddy starts cracking up "awww haha geeze, cya man" *pop pop pop* One shot to each of our chests by a damn bambi KoSer

Lol I have, on multiple occasions, helped out bambis. Usually have friends out on my flanks at all times though and i'll keep them out there for a spell while I test the guy out, drop him gear, get him a gun WITH AMMO and see what he does. I did have 5 or so try to kill me either IMMEDIATELY after they got the melee and two of whom waited for me to get them a gun with some ammo. lol but everytime worked out badly for them.(well I still had to run back to get my shit) Oh well for the most part everyone I help out is ridiculously greatful and I've had people in numerous servers now call out my name and wanna link up when I log in lol so to me it pays off. I'm a big dude IRL lol I don't feel the need to be a D-bag and bully IRL or in a game I'd rather be the nice guy and when someone crosses me just destroy them.

I assume all new spawns have some experience with the game. I'll avoid em' or kill them. Depending on my mood. I don't like just killing them though, I like to make them do things first and if they comply with my silly demands, they get to continue on. If they try to punch me or hound me after I had my fun, I shoot em'. Never will I assume a fresh spawn is a new player or help them. It's costed me to much so far so helping them isn't worth while.

When I first started off I was greeted by an experienced player who guided me briefly. It was very helpful. "New" freshspawns can be identified by various indications, as was I apparently:

1. they enter houses which have no chance of spawning anything (decent).

2. they don't sprint

3. they stare at coastal town signs

I don't shoot new spawn unless they go all fist on me.

I will always help them out and I always make contact.
