Confessions of a Medic

Recommended Posts

To the chap I robbed, knocked out, and brok'd yer legs

I was starving, thirsty, desperate and needed to make sure you didn't follow me.

Unfortunately, you had no food/water... So I feel bad about that.

Know it was out of necessity, and not random asshattery.

I could have stolen what he had and killed him. :3

Besides, I've began noticing a bit of a... change in my own behavior.

You can only take so many bullets before that medkit is yours and yours only

How do you get starved with the current built ? Food and water are all over the frigging map ! Only happens to me while crawling for hours with broken legs, and even then, someone or a Zed usually puts me out of my misery.

I sense a lame excuse for a totally appropriate behaviour (in-game) ! :D

That's the messed up part! I skowered two bloody cities and found a single can of pipsi!

And it isn't exactly "Appropriate behavior" for my line of work, and decided to post here in the hopes that the guy I robbed sees this and forgives me.

would have been nicer than leaving him alive, bleeding, with broken legs....wow that's harsh even for a bandit let alone a medic

Why didn't you ask him for food you absolute noob!
there are water pumps and lakes every 5 minutes so you shouldn't require water. The food spawns are literally everywhere in every town. if you are struggling to find food & water you definetely aren't doing it right.

Pumps, lakes, ponds, berries... Dying from starvation/dehydration has never happened to me in this game.

As far as murder goes, I actually killed people for lesser reasons, but never for food. I never simply had to.

I've beaten to death some guy (armed) yesterday with my bare fists simply because he was unlucky enough to unintentionally corner me in a room. Called me a prick, which made me even more happy to be alive watching him with his face against the floor. :D

Oi, le difference between banditry and KoS

<non-lethal takedown for food

<shooting someone on sight like a prick

You have lost your medical license Guppy :/

pfffff, I lost that a long time ago

"....and zhat is how I lost my medical license! AAAHAHAHAHAAAA!"

If it means anything, I did help out a dude with a broken leg to make up for it

Medicinal karma points, redeem me

As a fellow medic I completely agree.  :(

some walk the dark path

I'm no bandit. But, I've done sadistic things to bandits. A bandit had just shot a newspawn. I took the newspawn's clothes, cuffed the bandit, and switched his clothes. He told me in chat his friends were waiting in a building nearby. I had an idea. I gave him different clothes, handcuffed and bagged his head, and forced him to walk into the building. His friends shot him in the leg before realizing he was an ally to them.

I cleared the building except the now bleeding bandit, walked him about 500 meters into a city, and sat him down. I injected him with 3 needles of Morphine and 1 adrenaline, and forced him to loot a building. He found rotten fruit, I fed it to him. After about 50 minutes of hilarious torture, he was begging to leave. Did I mention he had high-value military gear?

I then turned him into a human piñata. I rounded up all the newspawns in Elektro, and told them they get one punch to the stomach. First to knock him out wins his gear. This went on for a while, until one guy ended up aggroing a zombie.

The bandit turned into a happy meal. I wish I'd recorded it, because it was so damn funny. He was so pissed at me. I divided the loot up among the newspawns, and then walked away.

I don't call that the dark path. I call that the "batshit bonkers" path.

Get off the low pop servers and go into a nearly full one that's been up for a bit, especially on experimental. 'Barren' is putting it lightly. Once the only reason I survived starvation was because I got lucky and found an invisible can of tuna players neglected to pick up, in the middle of a warehouse no less.

On topic, beans for your butchery. The blood gods are pleased.

I've come to the conclusion

that bandits and heroes are non-existent

but rather just people making decisions.
