I had a similar experience to that last melee fight shown. Only I was only sporting fists and my enemy had a machete. I managed to knock him out, and he kept begging for his life, but since he had just randomly attacked me (an unarmed newspawn) on the street, I wasn't going to let him live. But just as I was in the process of stealing his bandages so I could bandage before disposing of him, I went unconscious, quickly followed by the death message as I bled out. He must have had a laugh when he woke up.

 

Anyway it is clear that while the machete is not that good for KOing or those onehit kills, and it doesn't seem to do much damage, it seems to inflict a helluva lot of bleeding with only a few slashes. The pitchfork on the other hand seems to be completely worthless, fists would have served you better.

A few hours ago I had one of these, I had just met a guy, and we found someones body on the ground.  It went like this "hey man he had a crossbow but no ammo" *dead*

Machete - certainly so. I had the Feeling it rips out chunks of flesh given how much bleeding that thing seems to cause.
