nadbuddy 1 Posted May 31, 2014 Hi, i'm about to get a computer really soon with a 770 + i7 4770k and an SSD and i was wondering how to cap my FPS in DayZ SA.I've heard that if you put some settings to low it makes the CPU process it instead of the GPU, and i don't really want that, i want most of the game to use the GPU than the CPU. I've read some articles and threads about this and i still need help.. tl;dr Can you tell me what settings process using the CPU? And how do i tweak it? TyvmBest Regards, Nad. KamiOfKOS 50 Posted June 1, 2014 Your monitor resolution ?Anyway first things to disable for fps are all post processimg effects, blur and bloom effects also, lower shadows, set the render to your monitor resolution and maybe disable the antialiasing if ur running 1920*1080, this will keep good graphic whitout bloom blur and other postprocess effects that i hate sometimes, try like this or use as a base to find your optimal visual xp

Once you get the PC, set the 3D rendering to 100% and start with everything on the lowest, then gradually increase it until you are happy with the result. Its impossible for us to tell you how it will run, especially with the changes that happen ingame atm. You are correct that some changes will affect the GPU more then the CPU, but the CPU will always work its ass off in any RV engine game. The setting which affect the GPU more, are the visual settings, such as bloom, PP, AA and so on. At least this is the best advice i can give :)Its always been a hassle to set up any Rv engine game really, it takes a long time to find just the right setting, but when you find it, its amazing :)
