Ducard 11 Posted May 31, 2014 Is there any hope this game will be optimized for 8 core processors or should i just give up on it? i bought the standalone when it was first released as a gesture of appreciation because i was addicted to the mod, but times goes by and there is no improvement despite the development beginning in 2012 and the Alpha being released in December 2013 so almost 6 months and it's still the same shit. I really think that by the time they release the beta and the full version this game will be dead, i have never seen a game take so long in development and see no improvement. Don't get me wrong i love this game but i am really annoyed and disappointed with the progress they are making.
Etherious 907 Posted May 31, 2014 (edited) The idea started in 2012, and the initial public release in 2013 was so basic that saying there was no optimization change since then is wrong. I have waited for 15 years for Duke Nukem, 12+ years for Fallout 3 and many more. Games take a long time to make if your going to somewhat perfect it. I am sure they will make optimizations for AMD hardware in the coming months. Edited May 31, 2014 by DJ SGTHornet

Seriously. I am a strict watcher of Western programming, but something about SAO grabbed me and ripped out the small sliver of otaku heart I have, showed me it and said "LOVE ME!!!" It also made me cry like a baby. For that one time in my entire life I forgot I was a man.

We're not even half a year after release and Client optimisation is performed to be coming - Dean said himself that it's extremely bad in some regards. By buying yourself into an Alpha you should have known what you got yourself in to. Developmentspeed is fine, if you still think it isn't - please do read up on the DevBlogs.
