ARMA II is better than DayZ Mod

i see there is a big diffence between DayZ Mod and ARMA II ... 

 

coz everytime i play ARMA II it run on good performance without any problem 

 

but

 

whenever i run DayZ Mod it give me 5-10 FPS 

i've tried editing ARMA2.cfg and ARMA2OA.cfg .. but it do nothing ... 

do any of you have a same problem ? how do you fix this 

 

 

i run it on 2GB RAM

Are we talking about the vanilla mod on a non customised server? If so, your performance shouldn't be that bad, but if you're playing on a server where the missionfile upon connecting to the server (after hitting "OK" in the lobby) is fairly big or you're playing Epoch I am not surprised that your FPS is that low.

how can i know the mod i used now? coz im new around this game .. i download the mod from steam ... and i play through DayZcommander in an unofficial server

If you downloaded it through Steam it's the official one. But it can very well be the server, even though your gamesettings don't seem to be optimal, so I am assuming your computer isn't that powerful.

 

DayZ is quite resourcehungry, so that's the reason. Also note, that multiplayer is always different than singleplayer on ARMA-games.
