Current ingame-time in server list partially useless?

Recommended Posts

Do servers start with a random date? Can the day of the year be chosen? When you join a server that currently shows 18:00 it can be pitch black when the day is 21st of December or still bright when the day is 21st of June.

Maybe the time in the server list might be changed to a complete date, such as "Oct 4, 17:23".

You CAN choose a date with M/D/Y but it's HIGHLY suggested that you put it to a present date and or future date. Because it messes up the server if you put a date that is in the past. :P (BTW This is if your a server owner/head admin)

In other words, you want to know what season it is.

There is a bigger in-game impact for date and season such as weather and temperature.

I should see my breath in daytime in Winter. But not in Summer.

Getting Wet in Summer is different than getting Wet in Winter.

Anyway, the unchangable vegetation always looks like late August or September, maybe early October. Thus, having a pitch black sky at 18:00 does not match the vegetation models (although it may be January in the 'background').
