Aamunkajo 110 Posted May 28, 2014 So there is 2 type of dayz. There is DayZ Mod and DayZ Standalone. Mod was originally created by Dean "Rocket" Hall to Arma 2 + Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead. Later on Bohemia helped Dean make DayZ as its own game, as it was so popular. That game is called DayZ Standalone and is under developement at the moment. rfyaa 9 Posted May 28, 2014 and when im trying to connect some server it shows me something like this server is using another version. what is that? and i saw some new weapons and more crafting in website. in which servers i can test that? sorry for my bad english. nexventor 429 Posted May 28, 2014 You have to join the experimental branch of the game. To do that you need to, right click on the game name in steam library, go to properties then when the box appears click on the last tab, I think it is called betas. On the drop down box select opt in to beta or something to that effect. It will then download a patch, this one being about 700mb. Then join the game as normal. This require nothing then 1 time payment.You can play stable Branch or Experimental Branch. This is DayZ Mod. This game is more of a military survival simulator.
