1deadsob 0 Posted May 28, 2014 I can deal with zombies hitting me from 5 meters away, falling through walls n dying, gear falling though the floor. I understand its an alpha. What really bugs me is the people cheating. Its hard enough surviving a legit gun fight. But it sucks when people know exactly where you are even hiding in the Forrest in a bush. People should all have to play on the same level.
tiadashi 262 Posted May 28, 2014 Cheating will always exist on any game to some degree or another, just dont give them what they want if possible
vitdom 56 Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) Think of it like this: 1. This is Alpha2. People cheat because they know it is Alpha, it is easier to cheat3. BattlEye does a great job and updates to keep up4. DayZ gets updated with more anti-cheat measures5. People eventually get banned6. Cheaters have to repurchase the game for over 20 $7. Game development quality and strength increases as more anti-cheat measures are put into effect8. Developers realise a steady-income instrument is available to them at all times. Ban the hackers9. Game quality increases from strengthed development in all aspects through increased profit10. Game gets better -> more fun -> more popular -> more attractive to cheaters -> parasitic self-sustained development with the hackers being the losers -> No crappy Valve markets or DLC mayhems11. Effective consequences: Always a few, steady-number hackers, better and more popular game, less impact of hackers on the average player Edited May 28, 2014 by Vitdom
