How to enable (pistol) flashlight?

How can you turn on the pistol flashlight? There is only a single key bind option "Headlights on/off". Does this also operate weapon flashlights?

 

It's pitch black night, I have this pistol in my hands. The flashlight with a charged pristine battery and the pistol itself are in pristine condition. When I press the bound key, it does not turn on.

open your inventory, right click on the flashlight, and select "turn on".

If that does not work, try scrolling the mouse wheel and see what options you get.
