oiduts 0 Posted May 26, 2014 Hi,I think it would be a good idea to add a new eating and drinking system. A system where you can manage how much you eat and drink.like just drinking 75% or 52%, or whatever how much you want to drink, out of a can of notacola. I'm thinking of:NotaCola or Canned Spaghetti -> Drink or Eat -> then an input like "__%/100%", and when you already drank or ate of that item e.g. "__%/65%", so that you decide how you're managing your food and drinks, but there should also be the "eat all" and maybe the "eat" where you consume 10% of a canteen, 25% from spaghetti, 100% of a soda, and so on.in my opinion it would be more kind of survival. What do you guys think of something like that? scrubbie_mcnoob 136 Posted May 26, 2014 I think things like cans need to be eaten as soon as they are opened in their entirety. If I opened a can of peaches then put it back in my pocket, I'd expect a pocket full of peach juice.
Xbow 362 Posted June 2, 2014 (edited) For my money these are the best from a storage efficiency and nutrition standpoint. Rice, 2 vertical slots ,374 calories per serving, 10 servings per bag essentially it provides 1870cal per slot..the most concentrated food in the game. The downside is you will have to drink a full canteen of water with it. Water, easiest item to get. One canteen equals 1000ml Powdered Milk, 1 slot, 992 Cal/bag, 10 servings (99cal per serv) needs 400ml of water to go with it or it drops you hydration level. . Rasputin Kvass, 1 slot, water 330ml, 142 calories and according to the wiki Kvass replenishes blood faster than water. A word about Rice and Powdered milk . With their absorbency of 90% it seems that they can be damaged by water. Generally I store 3 bags of rice in a small protector case in my back pack and my powdered milk in my pack as well. My motto is whatever food you find it grab it and eat it or drink it to keep your hydration and energy up all the time. I have been led to believe that the more energized and hydrated you are the more resistant to damage you are. When I get pummeled by zombies and start bleeding and more are incoming I shoot the ones I need to shoot and then run like a scalded dog to a place of safety bandage and then hydrate and energize until I am full.
