michaelgrigg91@gmail.com 0 Posted June 28, 2012 does anyone know why i cannot see a difference when I change the HDR setting from normal to high or very high? does it actually change anything?also post processing very low or low doesnt affect game appearance either.. dantoramandova 19 Posted June 28, 2012 I've wondered about the HDR settings as well but I know low vs very low on post processing DOES have an impact. When you sprint/run with low post processing, there is a slight blurr around the edges of your screen to imitate speed. On very low, there is no speed effect. Lillowh 0 Posted June 28, 2012 Honestly I think the game looks much better with post processing off, don't care for the motion blur too much.
michaelgrigg91@gmail.com 0 Posted June 28, 2012 yeah i have it turned off too, wouldnt mind very low if it only slightly cleaned the trees in the distance.. HDR still puzzles me though!! theres a performance hit with it turned on... no visual change..
edonovan 15 Posted June 28, 2012 HDR is great for low lighting situations. I've noticed with hdr off, night time is nearly pitch black constantly. If you turn on HDR, you can see roads, fields, and highlights on players much better (when there are no clouds).

I just love how much clearer everything is in game after turning off post processing and AToC.
GreenJedi 0 Posted June 28, 2012 Apparently, HDR effects bloom, which makes a big difference during night, like Donovan stated. Allows you to make details out easier instead of everything being a black blob contrasted against the sky.
