I've wondered about the HDR settings as well but I know low vs very low on post processing DOES have an impact. When you sprint/run with low post processing, there is a slight blurr around the edges of your screen to imitate speed. On very low, there is no speed effect.

Honestly I think the game looks much better with post processing off, don't care for the motion blur too much.

yeah i have it turned off too, wouldnt mind very low if it only slightly cleaned the trees in the distance.. HDR still puzzles me though!! theres a performance hit with it turned on... no visual change..

HDR is great for low lighting situations. I've noticed with hdr off, night time is nearly pitch black constantly. If you turn on HDR, you can see roads, fields, and highlights on players much better (when there are no clouds).

Yeah, I really don't see any difference between normal and very high. I just love how much clearer everything is in game after turning off post processing and AToC.

Apparently, HDR effects bloom, which makes a big difference during night, like Donovan stated. Allows you to make details out easier instead of everything being a black blob contrasted against the sky.
