alienpope 7 Posted May 25, 2014 Today my friend broke his leg by falling down the second floor of the barn (you know what barn i am talking about) and I was thinking... Maybe you could add a feature that let you use a stick with a bandage or rope so that you can stand up and limp away. Your leg will heal over time if you don't find any morphine but you'll jog much slower than the normal jogging speed. I rarely find any morphine so a solution like this would be cool. Maybe the use of painkillers would be necessary so you don't pass out while limping. Or maybe the leg will start bleeding every so often while limping so you need to bandage it. If the bandage is dirty and/or in a bad condition you could get sick and require medicine. After your leg has started to bleed five times and you've bandaged it every time, your leg should now be healed. I think this is better than just trying to find a way to kill yourself after you've broken your leg. Feel free to add other ideas to mine :) . This is how much I came up with
11tw 106 Posted May 25, 2014 Love the idea! Right now a broken leg is too easy to get, and it is a death sentence... you have my beans!

The Aquatic Land Walrus 565 Posted May 26, 2014 How2fix broked leg:Man the fuck up.I think it should be possible that you can hobble around. If need be, you can sprint on a broken leg for a VERY limited time, but you'll likely fail and get knocked the fuck out.
Hyperionguy 3 Posted May 26, 2014 Someone sprinting on a broken leg ._. Where are the white knights of realism when you need them

UltimateGentleman 355 Posted May 26, 2014 Yeah a stick + bandage equals a splint if you don't know that OP. Which is an insta-fix...I don't know if they plan on keeping it that way but I hope not, same with morphine I hope they stop you from running but let you walk, hobble so you have to make your character survive for like 5 hours maybe before they can walk decently again, then maybe another 5 to be fully healed because lets be real a realistic healing time would suck so bad, as we do now you might as well just kill yourself. I will try this :D but that does feel a bit overpowered. Even morphine is a bit overpowered... but yeah there should be some kind of rare insta-fix and morphine works well as that. Making it a struggle to survive using the ideas that i have would make things much more interesting other than it just insta-fixes itself. It would also add a level of immersion to the surviving bit of the game. Edited May 26, 2014 by Alienpope

It also works with rags and sticks not just bandages :P I don't think there should be an insta-fix but rather a temporary insta-fix, so like an adrenaline shot + splint/morphine could have your leg on the mend and the adrenaline could make your character run through the pain(which could also slow down the healing process) That would be cool for if you're limping away and bandits show up, stab an adrenaline shot in and escape or have to hide and sneak past them slowly to avoid the longer healing time.
