Player Wipes After Patch Release (Not In Experimental)

When the new experimental patch gets released to go in stable mode. Do our players get wiped from the gear we have? Or will we keep the gear we have?

My character didn't get wiped after 0.44 patch. But others said theirs did.

If you ever spawn back as a fresh spawn, and you were geared, just log back out quickly, and log back in. You need to be sure you didn't do anything to "wipe" your character first. (logging out not in a safe spot, combat logging, etc.) After all the on and off experimental tests I've made, I still have my regular character from 2-3 months back.

Anytime!! Even when changing from experimental, to the stable branch, you shouldn't lose any progress. On the stable build, try not to play right after a patch just to make sure. As for the experimental branch, you shouldn't lose any progress either when they patch it. They did a "global wipe" recently when they changed the exp branch hive from public to private. (It interfered with the stable branch public hive.)

Sometimes (especially if I am looting another player and the server restarts) I log in with the dead guy's gear,  panic log and re-log with my own!
