Beck (DayZ) 1768 Posted May 19, 2014 Please inform yourself on how computer graphics work before you give advice to video game developers. Thank You!Isn't it just like using paint, where you can just hold down left mouse and color in a wall?
damagefilter 34 Posted May 19, 2014 (edited) Actually that would work if one was to draw the backfaces of building polies.Only that would probably end up in catastrophic performance drops ^^They are not drawn for a reason, after all. At the end of the day, it's probably a nicer idea just get collision detection straight and have that broadcasted to clients properly.(Which is not a trivial thing to do, I would guess) Edited May 19, 2014 by damagefilter
Damnyourdeadman 1045 Posted May 19, 2014 (edited) No to sloppy solutions, let them work, they will fix it. Today one of our programmers fixed a bug that could allow a player to pass through walls. Looking forward to testing it out soon!— Dean Hall (@rocket2guns) Edited May 19, 2014 by Damnyourdeadman

They have do fix the calculation of the so called "near plane", and im sure they will do.
