I'm new to this mechanic and want to ask if there is any distance restriction to this feature? I want to hunt down some bandits from safe distance and read that the only way to identify them is when you move the cursor and hear that beat. Is it working from far away with a scope? Also, have same very basic gear currently and need a rifle. So, how effective is the cz550?

You have to be very close, like a few meters away.

You have to be close enough to open the player's backpack, then you will be able to hear it.
