Karmaterror 982 Posted May 15, 2014 OK we all know the problem.... You go prone in the grass and boom your view is complety obscured. Yeas I know we can crush it ;). But then a person hundereds of metres away can see you because it doesn't draw. So one could argue it works the wrong way round, hurts the player hiding init and hands the advantage to the guy who should have a hard time spotting. Well heres an idea to at least restore some balance to the whole thing. If anyone has the ACR dlc for A2 im sure you will have tried out the chernarus summer cutouts. On those they have a very lush green grass teaxture.....but its actually about the right length for grass. In some situations it will still obscure but much much less. And personally I think it looks cool as hehe. Icant seem to get imgur working atm, so if anyone has any shots to post please do. Il try and update this post later on if imgur cooperates. OrLoK 16185 Posted May 15, 2014 Hello there But not all he grass is "short" I used to use the old A2 grass mods to make proning more bearable. I too hope it is shortened as although its realistic its problematic gameplaywise. Also the short grass mods had very low LODs which AFAIK helped improve frames. Karmaterror 982 Posted May 15, 2014 (edited) Cheers Orlok, that's exactly the grass I meant :) Surely they could just rename the texture files that the object id's reference (guessing that's how those mods do it). Might be worth a try in beta, just see how well received it is.
